What began as an ordinary shift at a Waffle House restaurant turned into a life-changing day for an 18-year-old employee who thought he would miss one of the most important milestones of his life.
On the morning of his high school graduation, Timothy Harrison arrived at work for his scheduled shift, dressed in his restaurant uniform and ready to spend the day serving customers. His manager, Cedric Hampton, was immediately confused.
According to those involved, Harrison had already been granted the day off weeks earlier so he could attend his graduation ceremony.
